Chris told me there was a player just back from Nashville looking to get back in
the local recording scene and was offering a screaming deal on studio time. He
was right. It was a screaming deal to get Michael who not only put down bass and
fretless bass tracks on Smoke Rust and PBR and Be The Brown, but who also
quietly guided the show, making my fumbling through my first recording session
with other players much smoother than it would have been otherwise.
